DAY 1
PONTA DELGADA AIRPORT (PDL)
Arrive at any time, and a transfer will be ready to take you to your hotel. There are no scheduled activities today, so feel free to explore the city at your own pace. Hotel check-in is available from 2 PM onward. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at reception and check in later.
Accommodation: 4-star hotel. Overnight in Ponta Delgada.

DAY 2
FURNAS, TERRA NOSTRA PARK, AND TEA FACTORY
Join our tour to Furnas, an unmissable destination during your stay in São Miguel (The Azores Island).

Morning:
Pickup and Briefing: Begin your journey along the scenic south coast heading east.
Caloura: Visit the southeast edge of São Miguel Island with its picturesque shorelines.
Vila Franca do Campo: Pass through this historic town, once the island’s capital before the 1522 Fogo volcano eruption. Enjoy a view of its islet and sample the unique small cakes from this village.
Furnas Lake: Explore the fumarolic field by the lake, one of the best spots to witness secondary volcanic activity in the Azores. Observe the locals as they steam cook the famous Furnas stew, Cozido das Furnas, using geothermal heat.

Lunch:
Furnas Settlement: Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring the traditional Cozido das Furnas along with other local products such as cheese, butter, bread, wine, beer, desserts, and coffee.

Afternoon:
Terra Nostra Park: Visit the island’s most beautiful botanical garden.
Village Center Fumaroles: Discover another fumarole area where you can taste various natural water springs, including carbonated and iron-flavored waters.
Tea Plantation and Factory: Explore the north shore with a visit to a local tea plantation and factory. Enjoy a free tasting of the tea produced here.

DAY 3
SETE CIDADES AND LAGOA DO FOGO

Morning:
This trip combines two of the most popular places around São Miguel island: Sete Cidades lakes and Fogo lake, among other incredible places such as Caldeira Velha. During this day full of wonderful landscapes, you might fall in love with this island!
Pico do Carvão Viewpoint: Continue uphill to enjoy panoramic views of nearly the entire island.
Vista do Rei Viewpoint: Admire the famous perspectives over the twin lakes of Sete Cidades from this iconic viewpoint.
Sete Cidades Settlement: Explore the village near the twin lakes, discovering the most interesting spots around the lake.

Lunch:
Enjoy a lunch in Sete Cidades village, featuring local cuisine.

Afternoon:
Lagoa do Fogo: Head to Lagoa do Fogo, the most pristine of the island’s major lakes, located in a collapsed volcano at the island’s center. This area is crucial for the island’s ecology and geothermal power.
Pico da Barrosa Viewpoint: Travel along the south coast to Lagoa city, then head uphill to this viewpoint. At 947 meters (almost 2800 feet), it offers spectacular views of the island’s western side.
Caldeira Velha: Explore this park, known for its hot springs and lush vegetation.
Ribeira Grande City: Drive downhill to Ribeira Grande, where you can taste local liquors and take a leisurely walk around the main square.
