About Us

We offer original, authentic, and sustainable tours.

We include the best wines and Portuguese cuisine, and our tours always have direct contact with the natural and rural environment.

The company Eco Trilha is an incoming travel agency in Portugal, established in 2013, specializing in eco-tours and customized small group tours in Portugal (maximum 10 travelers).

Eco Trilha’s primary mission is to showcase its beautiful country for our visitors through all possible senses: taste, sound, sight, smell, and touch. But we know that relationships are necessary experiences, so we also facilitate engaging cultural exchanges with Portuguese people for the most authentic visit.

What Does EcoTrilha Mean?

EcoTrilha is a name rooted in a special story and a deep commitment to sustainability. Inspired by the dream of Cris’s mother, it embodies a vision of ecological harmony and respect for nature. In Portuguese, EcoTrilha translates to “ecological walks,” but our mission extends far beyond just walking.

At EcoTrilha, we believe that ecology can be practiced in the simplest aspects of our daily lives. This philosophy guides everything we do, from supporting local farms to incorporating sustainable practices in our tours. We aim to make a positive impact on both our environment and community. By choosing EcoTrilha, you’re not just embarking on a journey through beautiful landscapes; you’re also participating in a movement that values and preserves Portugal’s rich traditions.

Our tours are designed to connect travelers with the vibrant culture, history, and natural beauty of Portugal while emphasizing sustainability. Whether it’s tasting traditional dishes made from locally sourced ingredients or exploring scenic routes with minimal environmental impact, EcoTrilha ensures that each experience is enriching and responsible.

Cris Fonte - Founder & Manager

Cris FonteHaving completed her education in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, she earned a degree in Tourism that paved the way for her journey in the vibrant industry. Commencing her career in 2004, she initially served as a receptionist at a quaint hotel, later transitioning to the role of an assistant manager at a rafting school in Portugal, specializing in adventure sports. Her most recent professional endeavor led her to an outgoing travel agency based in Porto, where she further honed her expertise.

In the year 2012, a pivotal moment prompted her to embark on a new venture. Fueled by a passion for showcasing the rich culture and natural beauty of northern Portugal, she decided to establish her own tour company, operating as a Destination Management Company (DMC). This entrepreneurial leap allowed her to curate experiences that highlighted the unique charm of the region.
